Week 5 of the NFL the AFC South Division is continuing to showcase what talents their teams can offer this season.  By Simone Mitchell First off, who told Amazon Prime to host Thursday's night football games, because why? Can we please have them return back to the NFL Network, thanks.  Indianapolis Colts The AFC South division this week kicked off with a Thursday night game starring the Indianapolis Colts vs Denver Broncos. And....whew, it was definitely a snooze fest. I caught myself dozing off several times throughout the game, forcing my eyes to stay open long enough to see a game that was really all over the place. Long story short, the Colts won. Next... By Simone Mitchell  Football programs at HBCUs are slowly getting their shine on and showcasing their talents playing major conferences this season. Jackson State and Alabama State are amongst the list of top contenders in the SWAC this season.  Yesterday, the football rivals went head to head in the East Showdown in Montgomery, Alabama, among the record crowd was Alabama native and NFL Hall of Famer Terrell Owens. Alabama State began the game with a breakthrough start, however they were not able to manage the pressure put onto their offensive line. With 3 more months left of the season, here's what the NFL has shown us.  by Simone Mitchell  The NFL has had its ups and downs, and needless to say, changes are always on the horizon. The Philadelphia Eagles remain as the only undefeated team in the league, as the Houston Texans technically remain as the only team without an actually win. Concussion protocols and quarterback struggles have been the main theme reoccurring across the league this season.  With players such as Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa suffering multiple concussions within a short window of time, the league has been urge to reevaluate the concussion protocol. Tagovailoa's concussion demonstrated signs of a league's attitude of quick check ups and do what's best for the team to win at any cost. Elite IMG Academy Cornerback Desmond Ricks Announces Top Picks, Includes Jackson State

The five star high school sophomore shocks the college football world on Monday via Twitter by Simone Mitchell  Jackson State continues to shine and receive positive attention to their football program led by head  coach Deion "Prime Time" Sanders.  With Coach Sanders' second season under his belt, the Tigers have gained recognition in the Southwestern Atlantic Conference and have high hopes this season to be ranked alongside the top D1 schools.  The HBCU football program has been named as a finalist for IMG Academy's elite cornerback Desmond Ricks.   IMG Academy is known for its top notch athletes, and the young talent is no exception.  This past Monday on his Twitter account, he retweeted a post from his mother confirming his top 10 picks.  The anticipated announcement has shaken the college football world, as he did not mention Florida State, the in-state rivals to Florida and Miami.  Along with JSU, the other picks included Alabama, Florida,...
